property and art restitution
The firm deals with cases of restitution of looted art, particularly with art stolen and confiscated during the Holocaust. We work closely with partners, lawyers, scholars, and art experts to represent and safeguard the legal rights of Holocaust survivors and heirs.
We also handle cases of property restitution and cooperate with partners across Europe (Poland, Netherlands, Germany) to assist in handling claims and obtaining all necessary documents from national archives to prove ownership and heirship rights to the property.
In 2012, Talia Naamat authored a research paper for the Kantor Center on "Property Restitution and Compensation in Former Communist Countries".
